Pizza Dip

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chickpeas (de-shelled)
  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/8 tsp sea salt (or to your liking)
  • 1/2 cup Italian herb tomato sauce (I used Contadina)
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano

Instructions

  1. Drain and rinse 1 can of chickpeas. Measure 1 cup and de-shell the chickpeas (it makes the dip smoother)

  2. Add all ingredients into a food processor

  3. Sprinkle a dash of dried basil on top and serve with pita breads, crostini or vegetables

  4. This can be served at room temperature or heated in the oven at 350 for 10 minutes
