Where are my volume eaters out there?! This cauli-mash is going to blow your mind and fill your stomach at the same time. It has become our new favorite side dish and we couldn’t be more impressed with the taste, texture and health benefits.
Since warmer weather is around the corner (we hope), we gave ourselves a goal to fill the majority of our dinner plates with vegetables. Typically, we all have the mindset of eliminating food or lessening the quantity in order to get in better shape but not with this side piece. If you make healthier food choices and fuel your body with nutrient-dense options you can eat in a greater volume and trick your mind. So the days of heading to the snack drawer an hour after dinner are over. Been there, done that!
Cauliflower, the main ingredient in the dish, offers amazing benefits that include but are not limited to boosting ultraviolet radiation protection, lowering cancer risk, detoxifying the body, boosting the immune system and combating inflammation.
I added plain-flavored dairy-free yogurt to give this mash a creamier consistency and probiotics for tummy health.
Following up with seasonings and plant-based milk, you have yourself comfort food without any of the bad stuff! We hope you enjoy this as much as we do!
Cauli-Mash
Ingredients
- 1 head cauliflower
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cashew milk
- 3 tbsp dairy-free almond-based yogurt
- 1 tbsp nutritional yeast
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- salt and pepper to taste
- chives or parsley for topping
Instructions

Chop the head of cauliflower into smaller pieces and steam

Once you can pierce the cauliflower easily with a fork, add all of the ingredients to a blender

Top with chives or parsley and enjoy
