You absolutely need these cereal bars in your life! Who remembers ‘Kudos Granola Bars’ from back in the day? From my quick research, they are now discontinued but when I created my own cereal bars, I instantly got the childhood feels and these bars came to mind. Instead of the 50+ ingredients in Kudos bars, mine only have 4 ingredients and are super easy to whip up.

Let’s also take a quick look at the ingredients that are in Kudos bars below… Are you as shocked and scared as I am? and these were marketed to kids!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cereal Bars
Ingredients
- 2 cups Brown Rice Crisps (I use Farmer's We Know Sprouted Brown Rice Crisps, see below)
- 1/4 cup Natural Peanut Butter (I use Smucker's Natural Creamy Peanut Butter)
- 1/4 cup Maple Syrup or Honey (if you consume)
- 1/4 cup Dairy Free Semi-sweet Chocolate (I use Wegmans semi-sweet chocolate chips but you can use any brand or a bar of chocolate)
Instructions
-
Add the peanut butter and maple syrup or honey to a small sauce pan. Heat on low until melted.
-
Add 2 cups of brown rice crisps to a large bowl. Pour the melted peanut butter and maple syrup or honey into the bowl and mix well until combined.
-
In a parchment paper lined 8×8 or 8×10 pan, mold the mixture into a rectangle or square depending on your pan size.
-
Melt the chocolate in the microwave or on the stove and drizzle the chocolate on top.
-
Place in the refrigerator overnight and slice into bars the next day.
