You’ll never catch Alex or I with a warm bowl of oatmeal… it’s just not our thing. But what you will catch us with is a mason jar of chilled overnight oats. Isn’t it funny how you can love one thing cold but despise it hot?
Whenever we consume overnight oats for breakfast, we both notice that we are kept full a lot longer than usual. This is due to β-glucan, a type of soluble fiber. Since oats break down slowly in your stomach, it keeps you feeling fuller longer and more likely to skip that mid morning snack – deeming this an ideal breakfast for weight-loss.
