Here is a refreshing energy boosting drink that makes you feel like you’re in warmer weather. Or maybe that’s just us wishful thinking due to the February snowfall here in New York. Although the winters seem endless, this drink puts us in higher spirits.
Regardless of our feelings, the magnitude of benefits are what makes this drink one of our favorites. Matcha green tea is the highest quality of green tea available and one serving is the nutritional equivalent of 10 cups of regularly brewed green tea!
Just a few other benefits include boosting metabolism and immune function, detoxifying and cleansing of the body, and increasing concentration. It contains less caffeine than coffee so it still increases your energy but without the coffee jitters!
Matcha tea is more expensive than regular green tea but is well worth it in my opinion. You can purchase the matcha tea here. At 83 cents a serving, it’s not bad when you compare it to the pricing at Starbucks.
Coming in at 60 calories for the ENTIRE drink, it beats out any chain cafe and has all natural, whole ingredients.
I would advise against omitting the 1/4 of a frozen banana because it adds the perfect amount of creaminess and acts as a natural sweetener.
Enjoy your matcha frap!

Brittany and Alex,
I read the article about your close call in “Buffalo Healthy”. You are fortunate to have had the right person to advise You. You have taken a huge step in the right direction for life. All human beings are born with this knowledge, but civilization takes it away from them. The German philosopher, Friedrich Nietzsche. Once wrote; “The most intelligent and noble day of a human beings life, is the day they are born. I wish You all good fortune in Your endeavor.
